Danang is the new happening Beach Town in Vietnam. And to experience it, we looked for Hotels in Danang and picked Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa which is on the beautiful white sand beach called Non Nuoc. Danang is also the closest Airport to Hoi An – the Lantern Town, and Bana Hills – for the Golden Hand Bridge. We chose this location because of the easy access to Danang City, Hoi An and Bana Hills. And after spending 3 days there, we definitely couldn’t have asked for more! This might just be the Best Resort in Danang.

Getting to Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa –

One thing I love about Vietnam is how the Airports are not too far away from the city (barring the Hanoi Airport). We got to Danang on a late morning flight with Vietnam Airlines from Ho Chi Minh City. The airport is nothing fancy and you can walk out within minutes. When you make a booking with Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, you can request an Airport pick-up and drop service which comes to 2,000,000 VND (about $85). There aren’t any car rentals around the Airport, or else the best way would be to get a car from the Airport, cover the attractions, return the car and fly out. If you have internet on your phone, check for Grab cabs.

Check-in at The Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa –

We turned off the main road into the huge entrance of Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa. We got out of the car and were promptly received by the staff. The main building was just one level and till then, we had no clue about the scale of the property. We were taken to the reception counter for collecting the room keys and getting to know about the property. The manager was kind enough to give us a brief on the amenities, restaurants, shuttle services, etc. and that is when we realized, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa was huge!

There are 5 Swimming Pools on the property and the main pool even has a slide, so that should give you an idea about its size. The property has 198 Guestrooms and Suites, 160 one-to-three Residences and 22 Villas with private pools. For food, there are 5 Dining options on the property which different themes and cuisines.

We collected our keys and boarded a golf cart which would take us to the room. We had the Sea View Room which was on the other side of the reception. We passed by some suites and then went down a slope around the residential buildings and finally reached our room.

Our Villa at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa –

Right as we opened the door, we saw an enchanting Oriental painting to welcome us into the room. Just below it was a cute little Ceramic Tea set and then we saw the whole Villa. It had a beautiful feel with the whites and browns. We got to know that it was based on the Vietnamese-style of décor and it was minimalistic, very similar to the Japanese-style. The timber is sourced locally by Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa and looks very classy.

Our Villa

We got the Villa on the ground floor with a huge window that opened right to the sea. It had the bed and a small sitting area, total size being 452 sq. ft, the room was very spacious indeed. Behind the TV wall, separated by 2 sliding doors, was the gorgeous bathroom. Now, I know you don’t often use terms like gorgeous for a bathroom, but this was truly was. Seamless wall to wall mirrors, loads of timber in the décor, one of the most fascinating bath amenities box and a huge bath tub right by the window. My issue with most tubs is how tiny they are and I have to sit tight, but the one here is perfect for that long lazy tub-time.

At the far back, we had glass sliding door which opened right to the garden and the sea. A big couch outside made it the perfect spot to relax in the evening. Looking back at the Villa, we felt this might just be one of the most gorgeous Villas that we have ever stayed in and we might just be in love with Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa.

Amenities the Guests can enjoy –

For a Property of such massive proportions, you have to make sure that the guests have ample things to explore and relax. Coming to the Swimming Pools, like I mentioned above, they have 5 pools on the property. And these are well spread out across the property. The Sea is right there too, if someone doesn’t fancy a pool.

The fitness area is well equipped and near the pool for a nice swim after the workout. It also has an aerobic room, cold plunge pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Then there’s the VIE Spa to help you relax after a long day. It’s right between the sea and mountain, hence such relaxing natural feels to the place.

Around Danang

Since Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is a good base to explore the nearby places, the team here makes sure you do that with ease. The resort provides a daily shuttle service (VND 80,000 to and from Hoi An) and that’s comparatively cheaper than a private cab. If you are planning to stay late in Hoi An for the lanterns to shine bright, you can just book a Grab cab for return.

Food Options at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa –

Along with 5 Swimming Pools, you also have 5 Dining options at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa. Green House is the all-day dining restaurant specializing in Mediterranean food and breakfast is served there too. The place is absolutely gorgeous with wall to wall glass windows, plants all around and hints of purple. Easily one of the Best Places to Eat in Danang. I just couldn’t get enough of the pictures in there.

Lunch at Pool House

Right next to the main pool is Pool House which serves some amazing Vietnamese favourites. They also do a special BBQ Night every Tuesday, where you can try out local specialities with the feel of a night market. Their Cao Lau is super good with the smokes noodles that are handmade by just 2 families in the World. This would be at par with the Best Cao Lau in Hoi An too.

Beach House is a seafood special place with beautiful views of the sea. Baguette is the bakery on the property and they have a special 50% off on selected items everyday between 16:30 to 18:00. Terrasse is the bar with some amazing local beers and snacks.

Décor and Design –

Every corner of the resort gives you a luxury vibe but still manages to provide that chilled out beach resort vibe. The villas and rooms are subtle with the use of whites and woody-palettes, and are so soothing to the eyes and soul. In stark contrast is the Green House restaurant with its vibrance and color pop.

Landscaping at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa deserves a special mention. There’ lush greenery all around and given that the property is right by the sea, it still manages to remain cool indoors. The layout of the Pools allows one to always be close to water and it’s always a good idea to go for a swim.

The whole place is so photogenic that you just can’t have enough of the place. We ended up with tonnes of pictures of the villa, the gardens, etc. So, make sure you carry your phone/camera around all the while.

Overall, Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa is one of those properties which will stay with you long after you have left the place. The location, the villas, the food and the beach make it one of the Best Resorts in Vietnam. Special mention for the staff here which makes sure that service is always prompt at the property and you still feel that Luxury amidst the serenity.
